Farthest Frontier is a town builder simulation for PC created by a veteran team of developers. The game takes places in a medieval setting, where survival on the frontier is not guaranteed and prosperity will be hard-fought.

Farthest Frontier’s advanced simulation seeks to emulate the challenges and risks of setting out into the untamed wilderness while offering opportunities to grow flourishing cities.

Is Farthest Frontier based in history?

No, while Farthest Frontier is inspired by medieval era technology and feudal society, it is not based on a real world location or on any particular era of history. You will help a band of downtrodden people start a new life in the farthest reaches of untamed wilderness and prosper into a bustling city.

Many game mechanics are inspired directly by real life, including Farthest Frontier’s advanced farming system and diseases.

Where can I buy Farthest Frontier and how much does it cost?

Farthest Frontier can be purchased on Steam for $29.99.

Is there downloadable content?

We understand that the term downloadable content can fill people with dread of endlessly buying up small packs of content. That is not our approach to DLCs. For Grim Dawn, we released two old school expansions filled to the brim with content and an optional endgame mode, which was one of our Kickstarter goals. This was done alongside years of free content updates and support.

We plan to give Farthest Frontier the same love and attention!

Does Farthest Frontier have multiplayer?

Farthest Frontier is an offline singleplayer experience and does not have any multiplayer mechanics.

Can I play Farthest Frontier if I’m new to town builders?

Yes! Not only can you adjust difficulty settings to help get you started (no need to dive in the deep end right away!), there are also built-in tutorials to help you with various mechanics and quests to guide you along.

I just want to build a sexy town without all the surviving. Can I?

Absolutely! If you want to focus on just the town building aspects, you can adjust the difficulty settings to suit your needs, including disabling diseases and combat with raiders and wildlife.

We want Farthest Frontier to offer a wide range of experiences for players with different expectations for their perfect town builder.

Does Farthest Frontier require an always-on internet connection?

No, Farthest Frontier is a singleplayer experience and does not require a connection to play. Internet is only required for the initial download and installation.
